I ordered a soft chicken taco. I was surprised at having the option of having a salad with it. The few Mexican restaurants I have been to, usually serve their main dishes with mexi-fries (also known as tator tots).
The salad that came with my taco was a green salad with a huge amount of tomato in it. There was almost as much tomato as there was lettuce. They didn’t say what dressing they put on it (although I think it tasted like ranch) but the dressing was very good. The one thing that the salad lacked was cheese. It would have been wonderful if they had put some cheese in it. Also a few less tomatoes would have also improved it.
The chicken taco was very yummy. I have no thoughts on how it could be improved.
After lunch we decided to order dessert. I decided to try something exotic. I had the New York Style Apple Cheesecake. I have tried many cheesecakes in my life but this one was certainly different. The apple was located within the cheesecake (for some reason I thought it might just be on top). Taste wise the apple flavor was not noticeable while eating the cake. The watermelon and honey dew melon made this dessert taste very fresh. I think the flavor of these melons may have also overpowered the subtle apple flavor (this was not a bad thing though).
I enjoyed this exotic version of cheesecake. Overall I would give it a rating of good to very good.
Overall I enjoyed the lunch greatly. The food was indeed yummy. On a scale of one to ten (one being low quality and ten being the highest quality) I would give the food at Gina’s a score of 7.5/10.
Below is an image of the cheesecake.
