A few weeks ago my boyfriend Tyler and I went on an eight day trip to Las Vegas Nevada. This was our first time visiting Vegas.
I was surprised at just how hot Las Vegas is in September. The temperature seemed to be in the low to mid 30’s most of the time. The heat was a dry heat, that I had never experienced before. However being dry it was much more bearable then when we have a temperature of 30 degrees Celsius in BC. When we left Canada it was about 18 degrees Celsius so this was a bit of a shock to the system.
The trip was fun and exciting and super tiring. Below is a picture recap of some of the highlights.

Below are a few views from the plane. I was amazed by the scenery, since I had never been to a desert before.

The palm trees in the foreground and the monorail in the background. I was very surprised to see so many trees in Vegas, palm trees but trees all the same. I expected to see cacti but did not see a single one.

A few images from blog world.

The Flamingo, was a hotel on the monorail circuit so we stopped there and checked it out.

Shopping at Caesars Palace.

Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage.

The Rainforest Café at the MGM Grand Hotel. This was the most intriguing restaurant I have ever been too. The food was really good too. I highly recommend this café as a place to go in Vegas.

A few night shots.

One of the biggest highlights for me was watching Ka a Cirque du Solier show at the MGM Grand Hotel. I had wanted to see a Cirque du Solier show ever since way back when I was about 12 (I even aspired to be in the show since I was a gymnast for many years, that never happened though). We had very good seats (row 8 of about 40 rows).
The whole show was stunning and blew me away. Sitting so close to the front we could even feel the heat of the fire. This is one show I recommend everyone to see. Now I wish to see all the Cirque du Solier shows!

There is so much to see and do in Vegas that we didn’t do or see even half of the things we would have liked to. This is okay though because it just means we will be back!
