It’s been ages since I have posted on my blog. I sure miss blogging and the blogosphere. I’ve been working a lot lately and too exhausted to do much else.

During my work marathon a few days ago I got a major craving for brownies. I contemplated going to Dairy Queen and getting a brownie earth quake sundae or perhaps visiting one of the local bakeries and getting some tasty treat to satisfy my choclately craving, but instead decided to wait for one of my days off when I had enough energy to make some brownies myself.

I found a recipe for simple brownies and morphed it to suit my style. My adapted version comes from all recipes.

Kahlea Brownies

1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
½ cup coco powder
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tsp Kahula
4 eggs
2.5 cups all purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup walnut pieces or halves
1/8-¼ cup skim milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt the butter. In a large bowl add the sugar and the butter, stir until smooth. Add the coco powder, vanilla and Kahlua. Stir until well blended. Beat in the eggs. Add the flour baking powder and salt. Mix well. Add enough milk to form a mildly thick batter. Pour into 9 X 13 baking pan. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a  tooth pick comes out clean. Enjoy.

I indulged in brownie heaven with a little bit of vanilla frozen yogurt. : P
